Films4Life Actors Workshop
|We are holding a film actors workshop for anyone interested in acting in front of a camera for the practice of their craft or simply for the experience- a keen interest in acting is essential but relevant experience is not.The sessions will consist of:
Playing out film and TV scripted scenes to camera.
Learning acting on film through watching your scene on playback with constructive notes from session leaders, industry insiders and the views of your peers.
Guided improvisation scenes which will be filmed every month by our in house Films4Life Crew – eventually leading to regular members having the option of their scenes created into a showreel using our editors skills.
Throughout the year there will be visits, talks and masterclasses from the Films4Life Supporters- a very talented bunch I’m sure you will agree.
Films4Life founding father and award winning screenwriter Mickey Dehara will also guide some sessions, bringing his experience from professional film sets and instinctively knowing what works on film and what get’s left on the Cutting Room floor.
… If you are over 18 and want to join us from Wednesday July 17th please show your interest by posting on the wall. The sessions are £9 and run for 2 hours and the evening will more than always conclude with a visit to The Pineapple public house over the road for a social or two.
We take the work seriously but never ourselves. We also believe that you never stop learning new things so we fully expect to learn as much from you as you from us- as such we intend the workshops to be a true ensemble piece.
See you there.
